Each person wishing to run of a drama club office should do the following:

RUNNING FOR OFFICE

1.    Look over the “thespian officer duties” and decide which office you would be best suited for.  POSTED ON CALL BOARD!
2.    Prepare a 2 to 4 minute speech detailing:
       a.    What your plans are as an officer in the position you are running for
       b.    How you plan to implement these plans
       c.    How you will generate growth in the department
       d.    The qualities you have that can make all these things come true
3.    Have Ms. Florio approve your speech NO LATER THAN two days prior to elections!  No approval means no speech and no election!
4.    You can, but are not required too, make two (2) posters to hang on the front of the stage.

ELECTION DAY – WEDNESDAY MAY 30!

1.    Date May 30.
2.    Candidates must dress in professional attire.  Not necessarily your Sunday best, but close to it.  Dress for success.
3.    After speeches are given, voting will take place via private ballots.  Ms. Florio will tabulate the votes and winners will be announced at the yearend banquet.

For specific qualifications for member positions, see the Drama Club tab.

The Director

Kim Florio always wanted to be a "star"!!!  She graduated from Lees-McRae College, in Banner Elk, NC with a BA in Education.  She then became a gypsy traveling to different theatre companies, dinner theatres, summer stock companies, cruise ships and theme parks only to ultimately land a job at Countryside High School as the drama teacher/director.  To her surprise she really enjoyed not being the star anymore but watching her students thrive on and off stage.  She has had amazing success with her students in musicals, comedies and competition.Kim's greatest role to date is that of MOTHERHOOD.  She is so proud to be the mother of Jacob.  He is the light of her life.  He is a charismatic, loving, creative, and very active 6 year old. She continues to perform professionally in the summers.  Her favorite role is Lola from Damn Yankees.  Her all time favorite musical, of which she played the role of Cassie as a 20 year old and again as a 40 year old, is A Chorus Line.
